Deer Lake Park is in Burnaby, it's a nice park area with edging on to a lake with a nice wide board walk. There are also some gardens with many different flowering plants. Here's one of the many frogs living on the lake.
A close view of our froggy friend.

Frame 2 lake view - apartment buildings in the background
Frame 3 edge of the lake - this is where some of the frogs were seen

What I think is a large deep yellow daisy. It's hard to get the colours right with an image like this, there arn't any other colours to judge it by.
Interesting curled petals.
Closer showing the almost tubular petals and interesting center.
Closest shot.
After walking though the park, and under the over flying Canada Geese we found a nice spot by the lake to have a picnic.
Dragon Flies a plenty by the lake. There were so many hanging out by the water, chasing each other around. We even saw a couple of monster sized dragon flies. The ones that probably deserve their own landing lights.
This one was kind enough to stay long enough for me to take this photo. They're hard to photograph because they're so skittish.
This shot feels a lot like one taken at Dennis Duggan park in Newlands, Wellington.
The Burnaby Art Gallery is right on Deer Lake Park. While walking out of the park I saw this installation on the balcony. It was one of those 'Only in Canada' moment. I later learned it was an installation by Evelyn Roth.
