We're off to the Zoo today. Armed with my 70-200mm lens, lets see what we can see. - Collared Peccary from Central and Southern America. A lot of the shots I have taken were with the lens resting on something to steady the camera, specially at the 200mm range of the zoom.

White Cheeked Gibbon

White Cheeked Gibbon. - Shooting into the sun is never a good idea, wish I had my polarising filter with me.

Spider Monkeys - I think

Spider Monkey

Pelican.

Pelican.

Cockatoo.

Gios, Nik and Coco abandoning me while I wasn't looking! SO harsh! hehe.

Um...

Ahh... It's so hard taking pictures through wire mesh. In the end I put the lens right up to the mesh which helped quite a bit, but does result in the diagonal banding you can see.

This looks like a Skink, though I may be wrong.

Grants Zebra, munching on some grindige (Pauley Shaw fans will know what I'm talking about).

Malayan Sun Bear, named after the yellow cresent patch of fur on their upper chest. We didn't even see this guy at first, and then BAM there he was up on a high up perch.

These young Lions were in an enclosure of their own. No doubt having a time out. That, or they were taunting the Sumatran Tiger next door.

This was the only view of the Sumatran Tiger. Mmm sleepy time! - Probably getting some rest cause of those Lions.

Giraffe. Mmmm sticks.

Cheetahs chilling out in the shade away from the mid day sun up on a steep slope.

Brolga. From the North East of Australia.

A closer view.

African Wild Dogs can be found from South of the Sahara to South Africa.

African Wild Dog checking out the keeper who was cleaning out it's enclosure at the time.

Peacock.

Himadryas Baboons. There were tons of them in this enclosure. Ages ranging from Littlies, to mature male to the old ones.

Ahhh, avoid eye contact, look down for 5 seconds.

This guys definitely seen his share of Baboon life.

Kitty! They look so docile, but I know as soon as you do into their domain you automatically become part of the menu.

Sleepy Kitty!

Eyeing me up Kitty.

Ok, bored with me now, time for more sleepy time.

Red Panda are endangered. They come from the forrests of the Hilalayas ans some high mountain areas of China and Myanmar.

...I'm sure I had a friend around here...

Well hey there!

Oriental Small Clawed Otter. It was amazing. As soon as these little guys heard the park rangers cart beeping along they came out. They must have thought it was feeding time.

What chu looking at!

'Where did they go? I'm sure that was the foot cart'
