It's all about me

My name's Akshay Parbhu. I've been in the IT industry for 12+ years now.

I've just spent four years working for Weta Workshop. Originally working on Jane and the Dragon, an computer animated kids show as a motion capture operator. I then took things further by taking a role as a digital compositor on the same show.

The last two years at Weta I was an IT Support Administrator for Weta Workshop, Weta Productions and Weta Limited. The three companies are part of the larger Weta Group.

I've supported teams working on the following productions:
- 30 days of Night
- Avatar
- Avatar art department
- District 9
- Halo short film
- Jane and the Dragon
- The Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian
- The WotWots
- Tin Tin
- Under the mountain

Eight years prior to working for Weta Workshop I was part of the web and new media industry working as a programmer / integrator for a multitude projects who's budgets ranged from $10,000 dollars up to $300,000 dollars plus.

I've always had an interest in art, photography and design which ultimately led me to creating this website.
